Stop typing your design feedback
Here’s the arithmetic, in under 200 words, to prove a better method.
The best way to work with your designers.
Slack, email, written comments, and weekly meetings are not as effective as video. Here’s the math:
The weekly meeting. You wait seven days for one hour of discussion about work that was ready on Tuesday.
Written comments. Fine, but they leave a wide open lane for ambiguity, and you’ll spend multiple messages closing it that span more than a single day.
Async video. Your designer watches it within 24 hours, sees exactly what you saw, and enacts the change with no interpretation required.
So do the math.
Do you want to wait a week?
Do you want to leave a pile of confusion in chat and hope somebody guesses what you meant?
Or do you want your point to land like you were sitting in the room next to them, because they’re actually seeing what you’re seeing (literally)?
